Participants were encouraged to actively engage in defining the development directions of the communities they represent by contributing concrete proposals and strategic projects that can be promoted during the forum.

Moldova Regional Economic Forum 2025: a strategic platform for dialogue and action

“FERM 2025” will be more than just a regular event – it is shaping up to become a key platform for strengthening interregional cooperation and attracting investments. The core themes – investment, tourism, infrastructure, and sustainability – reflect the priorities set by the “Moldova 2030” vision and are aimed at accelerating the socio-economic progress of the regions.

The event will bring together local public administrations, regional institutions, NGOs, the academic environment, and international investors, thus stimulating cross-sectoral synergies and new partnerships.

Mayors, open to collaboration and identifying local solutions

During the meeting, representatives of the local administrations expressed interest in the proposed topics as well as their willingness to collaborate within the consultative and participatory process promoted by RDA Chișinău and CAPDR. There was a general consensus on the need for a unified and well-grounded approach to regional development, based on continuous dialogue and active local involvement.

This openness from local authorities demonstrates administrative maturity and a desire to contribute to shaping development policies in an inclusive and efficient manner.

Institutional synergies for coherent regional development

The collaboration between RDA Chișinău, CAPDR, and local administrations is a clear signal that the future of regional development in the Republic of Moldova is based on cohesion, dialogue, and strategic planning. Events such as “FERM 2025” aim to turn this vision into reality through the initiation of concrete projects aligned with national priorities and supported by technical expertise and external resources.

Conclusions: a solid framework for Moldova’s future

The information session organized by RDA Chișinău and CAPDR represents an important step toward mobilizing local stakeholders for active and informed participation in the Moldova Regional Economic Forum 2025. In a dynamic regional context, setting development priorities and promoting a common agenda become key elements for attracting investments, developing human capital, and improving the quality of life in all regions of the country.

Through the direct involvement of local administrations and regional partners, “FERM 2025” has the potential to become a catalyst for the sustainable and equitable transformation of the Republic of Moldova.

CAPDR President Ion Ștefanovici highlighted the key role of local authorities in developing a strategic framework for regional development. Through this forum, the aim is to attract investments and launch strategic projects in key areas such as infrastructure, tourism, sustainable development, and improving the quality of life for citizens.

The “Moldova 2030” vision, to which the Moldova Regional Economic Forum aligns, aims to transform Moldova’s regions into a driver of sustainable economic growth. This includes both the development of human capital and the strengthening of infrastructure and creation of a favorable environment for smart investments. In this context, Ștefanovici’s statement underlines the importance of collaboration between local public administrations, regional institutions, and international partners.

“In the context of organizing the Moldova 2025 Regional Economic Forum, CAPDR, together with RDA Chișinău, reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of a coherent and sustainable strategy for Moldova’s regions. FERM 2025 is not only a meeting point for local administrations and international partners, but a crucial moment for the consolidation of an interregional cooperation framework that responds to both current and future economic challenges.”

This forum will become an open platform for dialogue between local public authorities, regional institutions, and investors, aiming to attract funds and develop strategic projects in key sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, sustainable development, and innovation. It is essential that local administrations actively participate in this consultative process in order to contribute to defining public policies that reflect the real needs and priorities of communities across the country.

FERM 2025 aligns with the long-term development vision of Moldova – Moldova 2030, which aims to transform the region into a pole of economic growth, based on smart investments, human capital development, and infrastructure strengthening. Our vision is of a united Moldova, where economic development is balanced and sustainable, and progress is measured not only by GDP growth, but also by improving citizens’ quality of life.

We invite all local authorities to become active participants in this transformative process and to contribute to a shared vision for the future of the regions. Together, we can lay the foundation for a prosperous future for all communities in Moldova – a future that respects the principles of sustainability, innovation, and social cohesion,” stated Ion Ștefanovici.

The active participation of local authorities in the Moldova 2025 Regional Economic Forum will ensure a coherent and participatory development, thus contributing to a united and prosperous Moldova.
