For the first time in the last 35 years, Romania takes an important step in reaffirming its cultural and historical identity through the „Soarele Moldovei” series. This production is not just a film, but a living history lesson, a window into the past, through which our children can see and understand the struggle, courage, and sacrifice of those who built this country.
The Sun of Moldova. The Beginning tells the story of the childhood of Ștefan the Great, in a unique effort to bring to the forefront the values and traditions that define us as a nation.

At a price lower than a movie ticket, viewers can watch an hour of storytelling that blends emotion, drama, and history, directly from the comfort of their home, with family or friends. The Sun of Moldova. The Beginning recreates a crucial episode from Ștefan the Great’s childhood, in a story inspired both by historical facts and an ancient legend.

The film is available through a revolutionary streaming solution, developed by the American company Olyn, which allows both easy viewing and audience participation in promoting the project.
A portion of the revenue generated by viewings will be automatically directed to the “Calea Victoriei Foundation”, offering young people and adults the opportunity to attend cultural events and courses in essential fields for their education.

A Film About the Formation of a Legend
In 1450, at the Suceava court, young Ștefan witnessed the power struggles between boyars and the first external threats against Moldova. A dramatic event will deeply mark his soul and contribute to shaping the future of the great ruler.
The cast includes Vladimir Andriescu, Cristian Popa, Valentina Popa, Ovidiu Usvat, Gheorghe Jindiceanu, and many other remarkable actors, while the project is made by a talented team led by Claudia Stavrositu (screenplay and direction), Adrian Codoi (production), Toma Velio (cinematography), and Matei Bucur Mihaescu (soundtrack).
