100 economic opportunities for the development of the Moldova Region on the A7 Highway route
After the completion of the XVIII edition of the Moldova Regional Economic Forum, organized from July 4 to 6, 2024, in Vatra Dornei, the Center for Analysis and Planning of Regional Development (CAPDR) initiated a process to collect feedback from participants in order to evaluate the impact and usefulness of the event.
In this regard, a set of three essential questions was formulated to provide a clear perspective on the benefits obtained by participants and to identify their needs for future editions of the Forum.
The first question aims at the overall evaluation of the usefulness of participating in the Moldova Regional Economic Forum 2024, asking participants to describe the new information or relationships acquired and to explain how these will be applied in the development of the communities they represent. This reflects the organizers’ interest in understanding the direct impact of the event on regional development and on local initiatives.
The second question focuses on identifying the type of support or resources that participants would consider useful from the organizers to support their regional development efforts. Through this question, CAPDR aims to improve the quality and relevance of the support offered in future editions of the Forum.
In the context of the decision to hold all future editions of the Forum exclusively in Vatra Dornei, under the name “Moldova Regional Economic Forum at Vatra Dornei”, participants were also asked whether they are interested in participating in the XIX edition in 2025, and what suggestions they have for improving the event. This question seeks to involve participants in the planning and optimization process of the Forum, thus ensuring active participation and increased relevance of the event.
These questions reflect CAPDR’s effort to align the Moldova Regional Economic Forum with long-term strategic objectives in the context of regional development and European integration, with the reference horizon being the year 2030.

What do you consider the usefulness of your participation in the Moldova Regional Economic Forum 2024? What new information or relationships have you acquired and how do you intend to apply them in the community you represent?
Participation in the Moldova Regional Economic Forum 2024 was extremely useful for me from several perspectives. First, I had the opportunity to interact with representatives of other communities and exchange ideas and best practices. This allowed us to identify innovative solutions to common challenges such as attracting investments, developing infrastructure, and increasing local tourism.
In addition to the valuable relationships we built, I also acquired essential information about funding sources available at the national and European levels, which we intend to access to implement local development projects.
We plan to apply this knowledge and these relationships by initiating concrete development projects, organizing workshops and information sessions for local entrepreneurs, and, last but not least, by strengthening partnerships with other districts to implement joint initiatives. Thus, participation in the forum not only provided us with inspiration but also concrete resources to advance towards sustainable and prosperous development.
What type of support or resources would you like to receive from the Forum organizers to support your regional development efforts?
We greatly appreciate the organization of the Moldova Regional Economic Forum and believe that certain types of support from the organizers could more effectively assist our regional development efforts. Here are some suggestions:

- Funding and Grants
- Networking Platforms
- Digital and Technological Tools
- Training and Professional Development Programs. Case Studies and Best Practices.
These resources and types of support would help us maximize the potential of participating in the forum and significantly advance our regional development efforts.
Are you interested in participating in the XIX edition in 2025 and what suggestions do you have for improving the event?
We are definitely interested in participating in the XIX edition of the Moldova Regional Economic Forum at Vatra Dornei in 2025. We believe that this forum represents a valuable opportunity for regional development and for creating important links between communities.
Regarding the improvement of the event, I have a few suggestions:
- Diversification of Themes: Addressing a variety of themes such as green transition, digitalization, education and vocational training, public health, and social innovation to cover a wide range of interests and needs of participants.
- Inclusion of International Experts: Inviting international experts in various fields to bring global perspectives and offer innovative solutions to local problems.
- Digital Support Platform: Developing a digital platform where participants can access resources, documents, presentations, and continue discussions started at the forum throughout the year.
Of course, with a more extended program, 3-4 days
