CHIȘINĂU – March 11, 2026 | During an appearance on the national television channel Moldova 1, CAPDR President Ion ȘTEFANOVICI presented a new vision for bilateral relations: the evolution from the current €100 million funds toward a €1 billion investment mechanism
Strategic Investment for the Future
CAPDR President emphasized that the new financial framework is essential for supporting the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
“The €100 million threshold represented a learning stage. We are now at the moment of a major decision. The €1 billion budget is the technical requirement for transforming the Bucharest–Chișinău axis into a European prosperity hub,” stated Ion ȘTEFANOVICI.

The arguments supporting this figure are based on the current institutional maturity. Romania and the Republic of Moldova are now in the stage of direct implementation.
