Faith That Brings Us Together
On Epiphany Day, the mountain road gathers its people, as it has long known how to do. White, wide, and calm, it welcomes the village steps and leads them to the church, among fir trees, houses, and the breath of winter.
In Șaru Dornei, faith is seen in motion. People come together, holding lit candles, speaking little, and keeping their minds clear. Children stay close to the elders, watching, listening, and feeling the order of the place, learning the lasting ways of life.
Horses, warm steam rising from their nostrils, wait patiently beside decorated carriages. The colors of the fabrics and the raised flag tell the story of a community that knows its path. The mountains watch over them, and the village breathes in the same rhythm.
Prayer settles over the people like a gentle light. The water is blessed, and the moment gains weight and meaning. Faith is shown simply, through walking together, through order, and through the way each person recognizes the other.
This is how the mountain village holds together—through its roads, through living memory, and through the faith that unites.
May this Epiphany road be a light for the steps of the year ahead, order for the soul, and a reminder that, by walking together, people grow stronger, communities thrive, and faith comes alive.
