Ion ȘTEFANOVICI, CAPDR: “International Opening for the Moldova Region: Romanian-Saudi Cooperation and New Opportunities through MoldovaHUB and Via Moldavia”

Bucharest, November 4, 2025

Center for Regional Development Analysis and Planning (CAPDR) continues its efforts to foster international engagement and strengthen economic cooperation for the Moldova Region.

In this context, the President of CAPDR, Ion Ștefanovici, will attend on Monday, November 10, 2025, a business dinner organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Bucharest, on the occasion of the Saudi–Romanian Business Council meetings.

The event marks a new stage in bringing closer the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Romanian business environment, while also providing a platform for dialogue and promoting the Moldova Region as a space for investment, cooperation, and tourism.

“Through this participation, CAPDR proposes organizing a series of thematic visits to the Moldova Region, aimed at Saudi businesspeople interested in investments, foreign trade, and tourism.

The economic and investment components will be developed through the MoldovaHUB platform, while the tourism dimension will be promoted via the Via Moldavia program, dedicated to valorizing common tourist routes between Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine, along the Carpathians – Prut – Dniester – Danube Delta – Black Sea axis.”, stated Ion Ștefanovici, President of CAPDR.

The MoldovaHUB platform represents a modern digital tool connecting public administrations, investors, and consultants, aimed at stimulating sustainable investment projects, cross-border economic cooperation, and public–private partnerships.

Additionally, the Via Moldavia program promotes a shared tourist identity for the Romanian–Moldovan–Ukrainian area, highlighting the natural, cultural, and gastronomic heritage along the entire route Carpathians – Prut – Dniester – Danube Delta – Black Sea.

Through this integrated approach – economic, investment, and cultural – CAPDR contributes to strengthening regional economic diplomacy, connecting the Moldova Region to international networks of cooperation and investment.

The participation of the President of CAPDR in the Bucharest event reaffirms the role of the Moldova Region as a hub for development and strategic cooperation within Romania and Eastern Europe.
