Ion ȘTEFANOVICI, President of CAPDR: “Children adopt their parents’ habits, not their speeches! #NordicEducation”

Children adopt their parents’ habits, not their speeches!
Education begins by example, but it is reinforced through coherent solutions.
Today, parents seek more than just holiday activities. They look for health, balance, natural discipline, and a safe environment in which their children can grow harmoniously.
In this spirit, we can practice outdoor sports regardless of the season: physical exercises, running, constant movement. One word defines this choice: health. What we live daily becomes a reference point for the little ones.
Children grow up in the same natural environment.
Here, Alexey sleeps outdoors, during long and peaceful walks, because fresh air strengthens the body and regulates the internal rhythm.
Radovan has started cross-country and alpine skiing exercises as a form of education through movement, perseverance, and self-control.
Last year, I intended to prepare a children’s camp project in Șaru Dornei. However, I did not find the time to arrange the necessary conditions. The project remains a priority and will be resumed this year, designed in accordance with the current directions of national programs in education, health, and sports-based development.
We envision this camp functioning as a complementary model to school:
- education for health and movement, physical activities adapted to age,
- developing habits for an active lifestyle,
- real contact with nature and the seasons,
- development of autonomy and personal responsibility.
For parents, this is a concrete solution: an organized, safe, and educational environment that addresses the real needs of children in an increasingly sedentary and hurried world. A space where children return healthier, more balanced, and more confident.
Nordic education offers a simple answer to current challenges: more fresh air, more movement, more purpose.
Șaru Dornei meets the conditions that provide the perfect framework for this education and development project.
It will be a practical initiative, aligned with national programs and open to collaboration with schools, authorities, and parents from both Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
