TOPIC: “Romanian Communities Abroad as a Strategic Priority for the Romanian Government”

In his message, Gheorghe Cârciu emphasized that “The Regional Economic Forum Moldova is an essential platform for constructive dialogue and collaboration among economic actors, public authorities, and civil society. In the current context, marked by rapid and complex changes at the global level, it is crucial to identify innovative and sustainable solutions to stimulate economic growth and ensure the prosperity of our communities.”

The economic challenges of Southern Europe

Romanian communities abroad: A strategic priority

Furthermore, the official welcomed the Romanians abroad who attended the event: “Romanian communities abroad represent a strategic priority for the Romanian Government, and our institution’s mission is to support the rights and interests of Romanians beyond our borders. Through the projects we are implementing at the Department level, we aim to support organizations and associations of Romanians abroad in establishing an effective partnership aimed at promoting national identity.”

Dedicated support programs, non-refundable funding and grants

The Secretary of State for the Department for Romanians Abroad announced the launch of a series of dedicated support programs, non-refundable funding, and grants for projects developed by Romanians from historical communities and the diaspora. „We want to see as many of these projects implemented as possible, inspiring young generations and promoting Romanian values and traditions”, added the Secretary of State for the Department for Romanians Abroad.

In conclusion, Gheorghe Cârciu emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity in these turbulent times: „I believe that together, Romanians abroad will succeed in carrying forward this noble mission.
