VIA MOLDAVIA connects transport, logistics, technology and major commercial networks to develop regional tourism

From panoramic minibuses and airport transfers to courier services, smart digitalisation solutions and commercial partnerships. At the Palace of Parliament, we are preparing, through B2B meetings, tourism packages for the winter season and the expansion of the VIA MOLDAVIA network.

Developing regional tourism requires an economic system in which destinations, transport operators, service providers, technology companies and travel agencies work together in a relationship based on complementarity and mutual commercial interests.

This is the direction we are pursuing through the VIA MOLDAVIA Programme.

Over the past few years, we have built a framework for cooperation between public administrations, communities and the business environment in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. At this stage, we are directing these efforts towards service integration, the development of commercial partnerships and the effective marketing of tourism products.

Every destination needs accessibility. Every operator needs access to the market. Every service must be connected to genuine market demand.

These principles underpin the new phase of VIA MOLDAVIA.

SINCAROM TOUR – a concrete example of integrating mobility into the tourism product

One example of the partnerships we are developing is our collaboration with ȘINCAROM TOUR, a transport operator bringing complementary tourist mobility services into the VIA MOLDAVIA network.

The panoramic minibus featured in the video is a particularly attractive tourism product.

Travelling along mountain routes in such a vehicle transforms the journey itself into a tourist experience. The landscapes, spectacular roads and scenic viewpoints become part of the service offered to visitors.

This type of mobility can be incorporated into organised excursions, themed tours, weekend programmes and tourism packages developed together with accommodation providers and partner travel agencies.

At the same time, ȘINCAROM TOUR operates passenger transport services and transfers between Cluj International Airport and destinations in Bucovina, including Suceava.

These capabilities create opportunities to connect air travellers with destinations within the VIA MOLDAVIA network.

Through coaches, minibuses and specialised transport services, operators can help organise regional and interregional tours, including joint tourism products linking Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Our objective is to make mobility an integrated component of every tourism package, from the visitor’s arrival to the completion of the routes and the return to the point of departure.

This is the model we aim to expand by attracting additional transport companies and connecting existing services with the tourism offers of our partners.

Freight transport and courier services – essential services for the tourism network

A regional tourism network also requires efficient services for the movement of goods, parcels, equipment and materials needed by businesses operating within the network.

With this objective in mind, we are holding discussions to develop partnerships with companies specialising in courier services, freight transport and distribution.

FANCourier is one of the operators with which we aim to establish such a partnership. We also welcome cooperation with other companies capable of meeting the network’s economic needs.

We want to develop commercial solutions enabling hotels, guesthouses, travel agencies, event organisers and other VIA MOLDAVIA operators to benefit from logistics services tailored to their business activities.

By consolidating demand across the network, we can create the conditions for recurring commercial cooperation that benefits both courier operators and service users.

Our principle is that every partnership must have a clearly defined economic purpose and generate measurable benefits for the companies involved.

Huawei and smart solutions – technology serving tourism

Another priority is the integration of digital technologies into the organisation and marketing of tourism products.

Huawei is among the invited participants at the Moldova Regional Economic Forum, and the dialogue we aim to develop focuses on IT solutions aligned with the needs of regional tourism.

We are considering digital tools for presenting destinations, promoting offers, connecting services, managing information and facilitating interactions between operators and tourists.

Solutions based on artificial intelligence, connectivity and intelligent data management can help improve commercial efficiency and enhance the tourist experience.

These are concrete areas of cooperation that we aim to develop further together with our technology partners.

The VIA MOLDAVIA digital platform plays a central role in this initiative

The platform is being developed as an integrator of offers, destinations, services and commercial relationships among programme partners.

Our aim is to enable tourists and travel agencies to identify destinations, accommodation options, tourist experiences, transport services and the operators providing them within a single shared framework.

At the same time, the platform must facilitate the promotion of packages and support the continuation of commercial relationships established between partners.

Digitalisation must directly support economic activity, simplify access to services and turn tourism information into a commercial opportunity.

METRO România and partnerships for supplying tourism operators

Operating a tourism network also requires continuous access to the products, equipment and services needed for business operations.

With this in mind, we have initiated a dialogue with METRO România to develop a partnership within VIA MOLDAVIA.

We are interested in connecting the company’s product range and commercial capacity with the needs of accommodation providers, restaurants, HoReCa operators and other businesses participating in the programme.

Our vision is to develop structured commercial relationships through which VIA MOLDAVIA partners can access supply solutions tailored to their individual business activities.

For a distribution company, the network offers an opportunity to build relationships with a regional portfolio of customers.

For tourism operators, it can facilitate access to relevant suppliers and commercial services.

In this way, we are building a mechanism through which tourism development generates economic activity for the companies that support its operation.

Palace of Parliament, 27 October – where partnerships become tangible tourism offers

All these areas of activity converge at the VIA MOLDAVIA International Tourism Fair, organised as part of the 20th edition of the Moldova Regional Economic Forum at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.

On 27 October, representatives of destinations, accommodation providers, HoReCa operators, transport companies and service providers will meet with national and international travel agencies and tour operators.

The business-to-business component is one of the priorities of this edition.

The immediate objective is to prepare and market tourism packages for the 2026–2027 winter season.

Operators from partner destinations will have the opportunity to present their accommodation offers, tourist activities, routes, experiences and available capacities directly to travel agencies.

Transport companies will be able to contribute to the design of tours and transfer services.

Travel agencies will be able to discuss commercial terms, rates, availability, commissions and contracting arrangements.

Providers of related services will have the opportunity to identify the specific needs of tourism operators and develop commercial proposals accordingly.

In this way, the meetings organised in Bucharest will lay the groundwork for cooperation that can continue throughout the tourism season and in the years to come.

Each destination brings its own offer. Each supplier brings its own capabilities. Travel agencies provide access to the market. VIA MOLDAVIA creates the framework in which all these components come together, complement one another and are transformed into marketable products.

This is the essence of the economic mechanism we are developing.

VIA MOLDAVIA – sustaining commercial relationships beyond the end of the fair

The B2B meetings at the Palace of Parliament represent an important stage in a long-term economic process.

Following the event, we aim to continue commercial dialogue between partners, finalise tourism packages and promote offers through the programme’s tools.

The VIA MOLDAVIA platform will support product visibility and connect operators, while commercial partners will conduct their activities in accordance with their respective areas of expertise and the agreements they conclude.

Within this framework, CAPDR provides strategic coordination and develops the regional cooperation framework.

VIA MOLDAVIA provides a shared identity, promotional infrastructure and mechanisms for facilitating commercial cooperation.

Businesses provide the services and operational capacity required to deliver them.

Travel agencies contribute to the structuring, distribution and marketing of tourism packages.

Our goal is to develop a network in which every partner can expand its activities by participating in an organised economic system.

This approach will provide the foundation for the expansion of VIA MOLDAVIA in 2027 and for preparing the next stages of regional and international cooperation.

We view tourism development in terms of its capacity to stimulate investment, services, infrastructure, technology and new commercial relationships.

In the coming years, the competitiveness of destinations will increasingly depend on the quality of the connections between these components.

That is why we are building patiently, persistently and with clear economic objectives.

A transport operator needs passengers. A hotel needs tourists. A travel agency needs competitive packages. A supplier needs customers. A technology company needs practical applications for its solutions.

VIA MOLDAVIA aims to create a cooperation framework in which these economic interests reinforce one another.

This is our direction: effective partnerships, connected services, marketable tourism products and a continuously developing regional market.

We are beginning by strengthening relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova and will continue by connecting the network with travel agencies, operators and partners in international markets.

From partnerships to products. From products to contracts. From contracts to a stronger regional economy.

This is the VIA MOLDAVIA initiative.
